HB0107-Local Government Distributions

***LAC is the Legislative Action Committee of the RWSC (Republican Women of Sheridan County).  Below is the main message showing our position and reasons why we support or oppose a bill. 

We oppose HB0107, Local government distributions, for the following reasons:

· This bill amends statutes to automatically distribute certain state funds to local governments. 

· Wyoming's counties already have excess funds (reserves and local surpluses as reported in recent analyses). 

· This erodes legislative control over budgets, ceding authority that should remain with elected representatives to manage and restrain public expenditures.

· This bill is contrary to the Wyoming Republican Platform by undermining fiscal conservatism and responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars.
